GOLAN HEIGHTS, ISRAEL

A Family Farm in the Heart of the Golan Heights

  • Founder Mika, who grew up on a farming family’s land, began her journey in viticulture after moving with her partner to the Golan Heights in 2006, where they established both their family and their own farm.

  • Her curiosity and dedication led her to study oenology at the Hebrew University, where she gained invaluable tools, experience, and technical knowledge.

In 2021, Mika returned to the family farm and, together with her partner, established Mika Winery — a natural evolution of her years of agricultural work and passion for creation.

  • One that begins in the soil and continues through the hands-on work of the winery. Each bottle is shaped by thoughtful craftsmanship, patient learning, and a genuine love for sharing the fruits of her labor with a growing community of wine lovers.

The Vineyards

Mika’s young vineyard lies east of Tel Fares in the northeast of the Golan Heights. In addition, grapes are sourced from high-elevation vineyards in Samaria, the Galilee, and the Golan, where cooler climates and diverse soils contribute to the wines’ complexity and balance.

Some of these vineyards belong to Mika’s family, while others are tended by skilled farmers who share her commitment to sustainable and environmentally conscious cultivation.

This range of growing regions allows Mika to produce wines that are both expressive and layered, each reflecting the unique character of its terroir.

The Wines

Mika’s winemaking philosophy centers on clarity, purity, and balance. She strives to create wines that express the true nature of the fruit — elegant, honest, and approachable.

Every decision in the cellar is made with precision: from the timing of the harvest to gentle, manual handling, minimalist intervention, and restrained use of oak. This careful approach results in wines that are vibrant, nuanced, and deeply connected to their origin.

Mika enjoys working with a variety of grape types, creating a dynamic portfolio of styles, flavors, and aromas — each revealing a different facet of Israel’s northern wine regions.
