Harashim Winery
GALILEE REGION, ISRAEL
A Hidden Gem in Israel’s Wine Country
Tucked into the serene village of Harashim, on the lush slopes of Mount Shazor, Harashim Winery is a boutique, biodynamic winery dedicated to producing expressive, small-batch wines in harmony with nature.
With a focus on organic viticulture and land conservation, Harashim stands apart as one of Israel’s most eco-conscious and soulful wine producers.
Rooted in the Land
The story of Harashim Winery began in 1987, when the first vineyard was planted in one of Israel’s rainiest and most elevated regions—860 meters above sea level.
Founded by native Galileans and stewards of the land, the winery was built with a deep respect for the natural world and a mission to preserve biodiversity through biodynamic agricultural practices.
“Living soil produces soulful wines.”
This philosophy guides every decision at Harashim—from farming to fermentation.
Terroir and Organic Practices
Harashim’s location in the Upper Galilee offers an ideal setting for sustainable winemaking:
High elevation & mountain terrain ensure slow, balanced ripening
Mineral-rich soil and native vegetation enhance complexity
Diverse microclimates contribute to a wide range of expressions
The winery minimizes synthetic inputs, uses solar power, and recycles rainwater to reduce its environmental footprint. These practices not only preserve the ecosystem but also enhance their wines’ purity and character.
Harashim Winery continues to innovate with new grape varieties and eco-friendly practices. As Israel’s wine industry grows, Harashim remains a leader in craftsmanship and sustainability, offering a true taste of the Galilee’s flavors and traditions.
Crafting Artisan Wines
Harashim produces handcrafted wines that reflect the winemakers’ meticulous attention to detail. Popular varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and indigenous Israeli grapes. The wines are often aged in French oak barrels, adding complexity and balance.
A standout is the Cabernet Sauvignon, known for its bold character, dark fruit flavors, and aging potential. The winery’s blends also receive acclaim for their approachability and harmony.
Harashim’s Featured Wine:
Yaar 2022
A blend of three vineyard plots:
Cabernet Sauvignon from Harashim Vineyard
Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot from Tzivon Vineyard
Grapes are harvested early to preserve freshness and varietal expression. Each component is wild-fermented and aged separately before a final blend is made one month prior to bottling. The result: a bold yet balanced wine with vibrant fruit and natural complexity.
